Working from our main office in Boston, Massachusetts, Machado Silvetti is globally renowned for being uniquely responsive to the specific qualities of local contexts. Wherever the project, we expect to learn about the culture and character of a place, the environmental conditions and construction techniques that affect design choices. This knowledge is employed to imagine and implement projects that are of their place but that also participate in a global ideal.
We have worked in countries such as Argentina, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Egypt, Honduras, Lebanon, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. We also love to work in Boston, New England and throughout the United States where we regularly do projects for institutions, museums, schools, local governments, developers and other private clients.
At Machado Silvetti we believe that leading and collaborating are required of architects and that the best projects emerge from the best teams. We have found that the most successful projects are the result of working with a client who is sincerely invested in the importance of design and understands the roles of all the stakeholders. Our client list includes the Getty Trust, David Rockefeller, Sr., New York University, the University of Wisconsin, the Druker Partnership, The Vatican, the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, Princeton University, the Vietnamese Ministry of Education, SODIC, the American University in Beirut and the City of Boston.
We are also fortunate to work with the best consultant teams throughout the United States and the World. We see our relationship with these professionals as mutually enriching and necessary for the realization of good design. Recently we have teamed with Arup, Buro Happold, Atelier 10, Silman, the Olin Partnership, Michael van Vaulkenberg, Grant Associates and Reed Hilderbrand. We also have a history of forming partnerships with local architects of record, recently working with Continuum, Cosentini, Gensler L.A., Sweet Sparkman Architects and Hoang Giang Construction Co.
