Over the past few months, the Denver Art Museum, Martin Building Expansion and Revitalization project has been widely recognized with a number of awards, from the local, Denver Mayor’s Design Award, to Interior Design Magazine’s 2022 Best of Year Winner for Museums, to the most recently received, Boston Society for Architecture, Honor Award for Design Excellence.

Some notable comments from the awards' juries include:

“The DAM project consists of multiple interventions throughout the existing building. The showstopper, the Sie Welcome Center addition, successfully finds its own voice and presence among the iconic buildings by Gio Ponti and Libeskind... Overall, the project is a dramatic transformation that results in beautiful and inviting spaces for the community for generations to come.” – Boston Society for Architecture, Awards Jury

“Primary gestures of the Sie visitors center and new plaza successfully resolve a complex urban condition. The Ponti building rehabilitation and roof terrace successfully enable the Museum to engage a large spectrum of the community... The elegantly detailed pavilion manages a lightness and distinct character.” – AIA Colorado, Awards Jury
