Founding partners Rodolfo Machado and Jorge Silvetti began working together in 1974, before founding Machado and Silvetti Associates in 1985. In 2015, they appointed Jeffry Burchard and Stephanie Randazzo Dwyer as partners, updating the firm’s name to Machado Silvetti. After more than three decades of steady, successful practice, our portfolio reflects the diverse scope, scale and breadth of the firm's experience, displaying special expertise in Art and Teaching Museums, Education and Institutional environments and facilities, Conservation, Cultural Heritage, Re-Use, Urban Design and Planning. Internationally recognized, we have worked in Berlin, Beirut, Buenos Aires, Seoul, Singapore, Rome, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Vietnam and across the United States.

MACHADO SILVETTI is a mid-size full-service Architecture and Urban Design Firm working globally from the main office in Boston, Massachusetts. The firm founders, Rodolfo Machado and Jorge Silvetti, internationally recognized and honored for their contributions to the theory and practice of Architecture and Urban Design, are actively involved in the design and direction of projects from concept design through construction. Their partners, Jeffry Burchard and Stephanie Randazzo Dwyer provide principal leadership throughout all areas of the practice with focused dedication to distinctive design and unparalleled service.

The four Principals have broad experience designing, managing and delivering award winning, context specific projects in the United States and abroad. Project expertise includes spaces for studying, conserving and making art, higher education and cultural institutions, and stewarding cultural heritage through innovative design. A group of Associates assist the Principals in the management of projects and in-house teams, ensuring that great work is done well and on time. The collective knowledge and experience of the Principals and the entire team is the strength of Machado Silvetti, enabling us to respond to the unique needs and desires of new clients and varied projects.
