Drawings

Since our founding, Machado Silvetti has embraced the act of sketching, drawing, drafting, and model building as part of the essential process of design. Today these methods are expanded to include digital models and new forms of image generation. We believe that the combination of digital tools and traditional methods of drawing and modeling are essential to creating designs that are both precise and expressive and we celebrate our office’s rich history of drawing and model making through exhibits, lectures and publications, and through the work on active projects.

"Through our drawings and models, we have developed a unique design approach that emphasizes materiality and craft. The recent retrospective exhibit “Unprecedented Realism" showcased Jorge and Rodolfo’s longstanding commitment to the artistry of the architectural drawing and demonstrated the importance of representation in our practice.”
