
Max Moore was born in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1981, he graduated from Connecticut College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art. He spent the following decade working in music, film, and graphic design in Boston, London, and Providence. In 1991, he moved to Austin to pursue a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas, which he received in 1995. Mr. Moore practiced with Cotera, Kolar, Negrete Architects in Austin Texas, where he became a project manager on a number of structures, including the main office building for the Interscholastic League of Texas.
Mr. Moore joined Machado and Silvetti Associates in 1998, and was named an associate in 2005. He has worked on construction documents for One Western Avenue at Harvard University, construction administration for Princeton University’s Scully Hall, and as a senior designer for the renovation of the Rockefeller Stone Barns. Mr. Moore served as the project manager for the Utah Museum of Fine Arts in Salt Lake City, Utah, which completed construction in 2001. In addition, he was project manager for Atelier 505, a mixed-use (residential, commercial and art center) development located in the heart of Boston’s South End, which opened in July 2004. Most recently, Mr. Moore served in a similar capacity for Walker Hall, a centerpiece building of the Sam Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and a new arts center and gymnasium complexes for the Shady Hill School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is currently project manager for the Qasr al Muwaiji Research Center and Exhibit in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
