Emily Ashby, AIA

Emily is a Senior Associate and registered architect at Machado Silvetti, where she manages the design and documentation of cultural and educational projects. Emily has recently worked on the Upham’s Corner Branch of the Boston Public Library, the Wolfsonian-FIU Museum Expansion in Miami Beach, the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and other Boston Public School renovations. 

Emily is active in outreach and mentorship at Machado Silvetti. She oversees recruitment for internships and the Northeastern University’s Co-op program. Additionally, as an adjunct professor at Northeastern, she engages in contemporary discourse through design studio and construction tectonics courses. 

Emily holds a Master of Architecture with Distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she received the AIA Henry Adams Medal, awarded annually to the top-ranking graduate in the program. She also earned a BS in Architecture with High Honors from the University of Virginia.
