The Bellwether is a 40-unit community oriented residential building that will offer affordable and market-rate units in an effort to alleviate Provincetown’s housing shortage. The development provides studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, catering to a range of year-round residents. 

The structure’s three stories are crowned by a penthouse, reducing the overall apparent height and harmonizing with the surrounding buildings. Cascading sections break up the east-facing facade, creating a welcoming environment. Wood siding and traditional detailing further break down the scale in a way that feels contemporary and authentic to Provincetown.  

Our approach to The Bellwether facilitates outdoor living with bicycle parking, pedestrian pathways, and ecologically appropriate landscaping. Porches, outdoor seating clusters, and well-planned greenery encourage communal living.
