Ben Bruce, AIA
Ben Bruce is an Associate at Machado Silvetti, a licensed architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His experience in housing, master planning, institutional buildings, the arts, and sustainable building design is fueled by a deep curiosity in the material and economic conditions that drive projects.
He aims to co-create equitable neighborhood spaces and design processes and bring transformative sustainable architecture to fruition in partnership with communities, developers, and organizations with similar goals. He is working to design spaces for joy instead of barriers to it - to arrive at a collective vision for future homes, neighborhoods, community centers, parks, and cities.
He is a devout boulderer and disciple of the stone. Being present and giving full attention outdoors on the rock is a mindfulness practice and the goal at once. He also carries that attention to long days spent walking the city, sketching buildings, people, and urban form.
