W. Gavin Robb
W Gavin Robb is an Associate at Machado Silvetti, where he leads design work centered on equity and advocacy. He brings years of design research, fabrication expertise, and community engagement experience to the practice. Most recently, Gavin has worked on the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Eden West Multifamily Housing, and affordable housing and urbanism initiatives.
Gavin is an adjunct professor at RISD and Northeastern University. As a queer designer living in Somerville, MA, Gavin is heavily engaged with local social justice and anti-displacement efforts. A historian by training, his academic work centers decolonization, housing policy, and community empowerment.
He holds a Master of Architecture with Distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he received the AIA Henry Adams Medal, awarded annually to the top-ranking graduate in the program. His work has been exhibited at the 2016 Venice Biennale and the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural History and Theory with honors from Wesleyan University.
